I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a member in good standing in the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. I completed my Masters of Counselling at City University of Seattle in 2022. My capstone focused on cultural influences on parenting practices, namely co-sleeping.
I started working in the mental health field in 2016. I have worked with children, teens, and their parents/guardians. In addition, I have worked with adults who have experienced trauma (acute and complex), grief, and ADHD.
I have worked alongside a Registered Psychologist as an assistant, administering formal assessments related to trauma, personality, and cognitive functioning. I have a strong passion for working with those who have experienced trauma.
My other passion is helping parents find meaning, connection, and confidence as they navigate the myriad of challenges that parenting provides us with. I do this by helping them articulate their feelings, find meaning in their life, paying attention to their nervous system, narratives, and the social influences present in their lives.
